New Liquor policies of Andhra Pradesh

The new liquor policy will be implemented from today. Announcing the various changes AP excise minister Kollu Ravindra said that government will manage 10% of liquor stores in the state.
The Minister says the location of the shops which will be managed by the government and all the other shops will be located where they can have good profit.

Liquor will be sold at super markets and malls. This is to make sure that the consumers don’t need to go for exclusive liquor stores to purchase. The stores will also start selling the liquor in Tetra- packs.
The minister said that an effort is been taken to develop the microbreweries in the cities and the state will have their own license.
“Micro breweries concept is catching up across the country. We too want to promote it in our cities,” a report in The New Indian Express
Liquor shops are prohibited from entering the roads of Tirumala. The holy place will be kept sacred.
